The Cleveland Foundation, in partnership with College Now, offers a variety of scholarships to eligible applicants. While many are for graduating high school seniors, some scholarships are open to college students or those not currently in high school or college. 

Some of the scholarships available through this application include: 
  • The Robert P. Madison Scholarship in Architecture
  • The Robert E. and Ada Hagan Public Service Scholarship
  • The Ruth Alice Jacobs Roe Scholarship
  • The Terry M. Speth Service Professional Memorial Scholarship
  • And many others!

Requirements

General scholarship eligibility: 
  • Must have a minimum 2.0 GPA or equivalent GED score
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen
  • Must be attending/planning on attending an accredited public or private non-profit educational institution

General application requirements: 
  • Most recent transcript
  • Essay/personal statement
  • 2 letters of recommendation
  • 2022-2023 FAFSA Student Aid Report
  • Letter of acceptance from the school you plan to attend (if available)

The guidelines for the personal statement are as follows:
A personal statement (maximum two double-spaced pages, 12-point font size) that will help committee members get to know you better and learn more about your personal history, goals, and interests. In developing this statement, please be sure to address the following:

  • Your greatest strengths, accomplishments, or challenges you have overcome
  • Your field of interest, career goals, and why you are pursuing a degree in that field
  • How a scholarship will help you meet your goals
  • Why continuing your education is important to you
  • How you have served or plan to serve your community
