This is an opportunity for a Selected member to attend the 2020 NextGen Seminar at the Marriott Resort & The Royal Beach Casino in St. Kitts,  January 26-30, 2020, as a hosted participant. Answering Service for Directors (ASD) is sponsoring this unique opportunity.

Today more than ever, achieving effective results requires new thoughts and ideas. The future of the independent funeral profession is in the hands of the next generation... the NextGen. Selected’s NextGen Seminar is designed to infuse energy, inspiration and motivation in these up-and-coming leaders by providing a face-to-face opportunity to forge lifelong relationships with their counterparts throughout the world. However, the financial obligations of this meeting may prevent some members from attending. This offer is designed to allow members who might not otherwise be able to participate to do so at a more manageable cost.

The winning hosted member participant will receive the following:

  • Member Lodging (5 nights stay at Seminar Hotel Facility) - $1,750
  • Member Meeting Registration (including Welcome Reception/Dinner) - $680
  • Welcome Reception/Dinner for one (1) hosted member guest - $125
  • Member Travel Stipend (paid directly to winner) - $500

Total Winning Participant’s Benefits: $3,055

Requirements

All applicants must:
  • Be a Selected member in good standing under the age of 50 who has never attended the NextGen Seminar before.
  • Submit their application through this Selected Educational Trust online platform.
  • Provide an essay (not to exceed 500 words) containing the following elements along with the completed online application:
    - A description of applicant’s interest in and the importance of attending this Seminar.
    - Applicant’s plans for sharing the benefits of attending this seminar with colleagues, co-workers, and other Selected members.
  • Have their employer agree to time-off and full participation in program.
  • Agrees to spend focused time with opportunity sponsor on-site during the NextGen Seminar and post-seminar at an agreed upon time(s) with winner and sponsor to further the advancement of this program as well as provide a unique marketing opportunity for the sponsor.
  • Note:  Former NextGen Seminar participants are not eligible to apply.

Application Deadline is December 13, 2019. The winner will be notified within one week of the deadline in order to arrange for travel and participation.

Selection

The winner will be chosen by a special committee of the Selected Educational Trust Board of Trustees, based upon how well the applicant demonstrates his/her ability to share the benefits of the program to advance the independent funeral service profession among this new generation of leaders.
