HISTORY
This scholarship was established to honor Ken McEnroe and his many contributions to our community. Ken was a 1977 graduate of Three Rivers High School where he was Class President, a member of the National Honor Society and captain of the football and basketball teams. He graduated from University of Memphis with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and launched a successful career as Vice President of Sales at the Johnson Corporation (Kadant) in Three Rivers.

Besides being busy with work, professional organizational and civic activities, such as serving as President of Three Rivers Little League, Ken coached numerous youth sports teams in the Three Rivers area. He coached his own children and youth of our community in rocket football, soccer, indoor soccer, basketball and baseball. He believed that team sports teach many skills that translate to success in life. This scholarship will be given to honor successful scholar athletes in the Three Rivers area who are pursuing higher education.

PURPOSE
To provide financial assistance to students from Three Rivers High School pursuing his/her continuing education.

AMOUNT OF SCHOLARSHIP
The scholarship shall be in the amount of $1,000 to one male and $1,000 to one female

Requirements

ELIGIBILITY
Applicants for this scholarship must satisfy the following criteria:

  1. Graduation from Three Rivers High School
  2. Minimum 2.75 GPA in high school
  3. Continuing education in any field at an accredited school, college or university
  4. Participation in sports for at least four (4) seasons while in high school
  5. Be available for a personal interview with the scholarship selection committee, if needed
INSTRUCTIONS
Complete the required information.  All information submitted will be kept in the strictest confidence.

  • Scholarship Applications must be submitted by March 1st for consideration.
  • Provide one (1) letter of recommendation from a teacher, coach, or business/professional person.
  • Include a copy of your school transcripts.
