HISTORYJohn T. Nykun was born in Hacktown, New Jersey, and graduated from Seton Hall University with a degree in business. He enlisted and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. John moved to the Three Rivers area with Continental Can Company, where he worked for more than forty years. He also served as Fabius Township Clerk for more than twenty years. He enjoyed reading books on history.
PURPOSE
To provide financial assistance to students pursuing his/her continuing education in the fields of government or business.
AMOUNT OF SCHOLARSHIP
The scholarship shall be in the amount of $500.
Requirements
ELIGIBILITYApplicants for this scholarship must satisfy the following criteria:
- Graduation from Three Rivers High School
- Minimum 2.75 GPA in high school
- Continuing education in business or government
- Be available for a personal interview with the scholarship selection committee, if needed
Complete the required information. All information submitted will be kept in the strictest confidence.
- Scholarship Applications must be submitted by March 1st for consideration.
- Provide one (1) letter of recommendation from a business or professional person.
- Include a copy of your school transcripts.
