HISTORYGlenn Rifenberg was born in Cass County, MI. graduated from Three Rivers High School in 1929, and then took courses at Kalamazoo College and Western Michigan University. He founded Glenn Rifenberg & Associates, Inc. Insurance Agency in 1930 and continued taking college classes and attending business seminars each year throughout his entire career. Glenn married Velma “Peggy” Wright in 1933. Velma was a school teacher until 1939, when she joined the insurance agency on a full time basis. This scholarship is a result of Glenn’s lifelong commitment to business and education.
PURPOSE
To provide financial assistance to students pursuing his/her continuing education in the fields of business or education.
AMOUNT OF SCHOLARSHIP
The scholarship shall be in the amount of $4,000; $2,000 annually, renewable for two (2) years maintaining a 2.75 G.P.A.
Requirements
ELIGIBILITYApplicants for this scholarship must satisfy the following criteria:
- Graduation from Three Rivers High School or Howardsville Christian School
- Minimum 2.75 GPA in high school
- Continuing education in business or education
- Be available for a personal interview with the scholarship selection committee
Complete the required information. All information submitted will be kept in the strictest confidence.
- Scholarship Applications must be submitted by March 1st for consideration.
- Provide one (1) letter of recommendation from a business or professional person.
- Include a copy of your school transcripts.
