HISTORY
Adam Jacob Learn passed away unexpectedly in a tragic diving accident while swimming with friends. He was born on January 1, 1997, in Kalamazoo, MI, the son of Monty and Vicki Learn. In memory of Adam this scholarship was established to honor the life that he lived.

Adam was an avid outdoorsman.  He could often be found hunting, fishing, shooting his bow and guns, skiing, swimming, riding his four-wheeler and snowmobiles. He was also an excellent athlete and wore the number #27. He excelled at several sports including football, baseball, soccer, and bowling.

PURPOSE
To provide financial assistance to students from Three Rivers High School pursuing his/her continuing education.

AMOUNT OF SCHOLARSHIP
The scholarship shall be in the amount of $500 to one (1) male and one (1) female.

Requirements

ELIGIBILITY
Applicants for this scholarship must satisfy the following criteria:

  1. Graduation from Three Rivers High School
  2. Minimum 2.5 G.P.A in high school
  3. Continuing education in any field at an accredited school, college or university
  4. Participation in school and/or club sports for at least two (2) seasons in high school
  5. Have been in the Three Rivers School District for at least two of their high school years
  6. Be available for a personal interview with the scholarship selection committee, if needed
INSTRUCTIONS
Complete the required information.  All information submitted will be kept in the strictest confidence.

  • Scholarship Applications must be submitted by March 1st for consideration.
  • Provide one (1) letter of recommendation from a business or professional person.
  • Include a copy of your school transcripts.
