FFLV Scott Carlovsky Scholarship

PROGRAM DEADLINE: April 19, 2020 at 11:59 PM PDT (Midnight) - CLOSED

This program is inactive or past the deadline.

Description

FFLV’s mission is to make college a reality for students growing up in educationally and economically under-resourced communities. Our vision is that all students, regardless of circumstances or zip code, will one day have the opportunity to attend college, graduate, and actively participate in transforming their communities.

This scholarship was created to honor a very special and amazing individual, Scott Carlovsky, who unfortunately passed away in April of 2018. Scott was the President of Outdoor Solutions, one of the nation's most respected and successful out of home media agencies. In high school, Scott was not the high achieving, high GPA kind of student. Despite this, he achieved so much and believed that a student's success should not be defined by test scores or GPA. Scott was a very kind human being whose mission was to help others around him. To honor his memory, his family and Outdoor Solutions have funded a $25,000 scholarship award.

This scholarship will be provided to ONE graduating student from Chaparral High School. Students must meet the scholarship requirements to be considered.

The scholarship award is a total of $25,000, $5,000 per year for up to 5 years. This funding will directly benefit the selected student and will be used towards the cost of college.

Once selected, the scholarship recipient will be emailed an award letter with the next steps. Applicants must provide a valid email address and will be responsible for checking their emails to complete their next steps.

This scholar MUST request their scholarship EACH SEMESTER by creating a GradSnapp account and completing a "Final Plans" check-in by the deadline provided (details will be provided in the award letter).
