Description

The 100 Black Men of the Bay Area, Inc. has formed a Rental Aid Initiative to assist Bay Area tenants that are facing the threat of homelessness.  If you are in need of rental assistance due to COVID-19, please submit an online application.  Please understand that successful application completion does not guarantee rental assistance. 

Please note that this program is for renters only. If you are a homeowner, many banks in the State of California offer mortgage forbearance/relief programs. Check out https://www.fanniemae.com/heretohelp for resources and guidance for the programs available to homeowners.

Disclaimer: All specific personal information (e.g. names, addresses, essays, and uploaded documents) provided to us will be considered confidential and will be used for internal purposes only. 100 Black Men of the Bay Area may release compiled demographic/statistical information of applicants to government agencies and related nonprofits that are also servicing this need.

Requirements

 

  • You must be a resident renting in one of the Bay Area's nine counties of Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano, Sonoma, or San Francisco.
  • You must provide at least two (2) utility bills (not cell phone bills) displaying your address of residence.  If you do not have utility bills, please provide documents from a government agency addressed to you.
  • You must provide proof of rent.
  • You must provide proof of income.
  • You must provide proof of need.
