Description
The Alan D. Stephenson Scholarship was established to support promising LGBTQ students to achieve their academic potential. The scholarship is open to students graduating from high school in San Luis Obispo County.Requirements
Eligibility Criteria:a) Applicant is graduating senior at a high school in San Luis Obispo County planning to attend full-time at an approved four-year college; and,
b) Applicant identifies as LGBTQ; and,
c) Applicant’s high school GPA is 2.75 or greater; and,
d) Applicant has financial need; and,
e) Applicant is a U.S. citizen.
Selection Criteria:
a) Demonstration of academic achievement
b) Demonstration of involvement in their school and community activities throughout their high school years
This award totalling $10,000 is to be distributed over a four year period, $2,500/year, providing the student enrolls and completes an average of 15 units per semester/quarter with a GPA of 3.0 or better,
