Description
The John and Yvonne Hsu Edmisten Scholarship in Memory of Allan Voigt MD was established to support students graduating from San Luis Obispo, Mission College Preparatory Catholic, or Pacific Beach High School. The student must plan to major in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, performing Arts or Mathematics) in pursuit of a baccalaureate degree in a four-year college or university.Dr. Voigt was a physician who retired to San Luis Obispo after a distinguished career in medicine. He was an avid supporter of the performing arts.
Requirements
Eligibility:1) Applicant is a member of the current graduating class of San Luis Obispo, Mission College Preparatory Catholic, or Pacific Beach High School; and,
2) The student must plan to major in Science, Technology, Engineering, performing Arts or Mathematics in pursuit of a baccalaureate degree in a four-year college or university.
Selection Criteria:
a) Demonstration of academic achievement; and,
b) Demonstration of financial need; and,
c) Involvement in the performing arts (Dance, Music Theatre).
