Welcome to the El Dorado County Small Business Relief Application for the EASTERN SLOPE. El Dorado County (EDC) has established a Small Business Relief Fund through El Dorado Community Foundation (EDCF) to assist in alleviating debt caused by COVID-19 related issues. The Small Business Relief Fund is coordinated and executed by the EDCF on behalf of EDC, and the Foundation acknowledges the assistance of the El Dorado Hills Chamber of Commerce, El Dorado County Chamber of Commerce, and the Tahoe Chamber. EDCF will be considering small business applications for grants up to $30,000 for local small businesses and registered 501(c)3 non-profits.
  • Applications will be accepted from August 14, 2020 through September 3, 2020 (5pm).
This platform is an online Grants Management Tool. All applicants are required to create a login and password. Applicants are able to start an application, save, log out, and return later to finish and submit. If you forget your password you will have the opportunity to reset. Requirements

Applications may be submitted following the criteria articulated below:

  • Small business grant applications are available for businesses and registered 501(c)3 non-profits located and operating within El Dorado County with debt due to COVID-19 related issues.
  • Small businesses (in good standing with EDC) with 50 or less verifiable full-time employees & an annual revnenue of $6 million or less are invited to apply.
  • Businesses must have established business prior to April 2019.
  • Type of Businesses Allowed: single owner, small business with fewer than 4 partners, registered 501c3 nonprofits.
  • Outstanding invoices/receipts (from March 1 forward) directly related with business operations due to COVID-19 related loss and invoices from COVID related expenses will be considered. Actual invoices or receipts must be submitted with the application.  INVOICES are REQUIRED and must be either 1) unpaid because of COVID-19 issues or 2) invoices/receipts for COVID related expenses! Applications will NOT be considered without invoices or receipts attached.

Acceptable Outstanding Invoices/Receipts to Submit:

  • Rent or Mortgage Bills
  • Utility Bills (for utility bills post March 1, 2020)
  • Name of Business- must match Business applying for grant
  • Payment information: when and where payments to be made
  • Awardees will need to remain in business for a period of 60 days after the grant has been issued.  If a business fails prior to the 60-day period, the grant must be repaid.  Awardees will be expected to sign a grant acknowledgement form as this is a grant and not a loan.
