Jewish Federation of Sarasota-Manatee Fall 2020 Teen Travel Scholarship Application

PROGRAM DEADLINE: November 20, 2020 at 05:00 PM EST - CLOSED

This program is inactive or past the deadline.

Description

Each year, The Jewish Federation is pleased to award thousands of dollars in scholarships for local teens to participate in teen travel opportunities.

* Due to COVID-19 travel guidelines and program commencement, all scholarships awarded in December 2020 are contingent on approved international travel and no funds will be distributed until confirmation is received that program will officially convene.

Available Scholarships:

Alexander Muss High School In Israel: Participate in 6-, 8-, or 18-week programs and enjoy college living in a high school environment. This is a partial scholarship.

March of the Living: Join thousands of other Jewish teens from around the world in a once-in-a-lifetime experience as the entire group marches 3 kilometers from Auschwitz to Birkenau to commemorate Yom Hashoah. Then fly to Israel for a week of celebration and exploration. A large majority of program costs are subsidized.

Send-A-Kid-To-Israel-Program (SKIP): Apply and confirm acceptance to an Israel trip sponsored by an accredited academic, experiential or volunteer base program for at least 3 weeks and no more than 52 weeks, and receive a subsidy of up to $2,500 for teens and young adults to travel to Israel.

SCHOLARSHIPS ARE MADE POSSIBLE BY THE GENEROSITY OF THE JEWISH FEDERATION OF SARASOTA-MANATEE AND ITS DONORS. The Teen Travel Committee also volunteers their time to read each application and interview each applicant. Applicants are encouraged  and expected to put forth their best effort when completing their applications, including editing and proof reading their essay questions and providing accurate, detailed information as requested.

Applications which are inaccurate or incomplete will not be given the same consideration as those which are submitted with accuracy and attention to detail.
