M3 College Connections - General Pathway

Description

The M3 College Connections program is an innovative dual enrollment program among Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS), Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC), and the University of WisconsinMilwaukee (UWM) that allows eligible students to complete their high school graduation requirements while earning transferable college credits* from both MATC and UWM at no expense to the student. 

The College Connections- General Pathway is for high school seniors.  This is a full-year program with the opportunity to earn up to 22 college credits in core subject areas that meet general education requirements for most associate and bachelor's degrees. The  program is designed for seniors who are interested in pursuing college after graduating high school. Students spend Monday through Thursday on MATC's campus taking 2 college courses and Friday's at UWM taking one course. Students will not attend their original high school.

Requirements

  • MPS high school Juniors (seniors in 2024-25 school year)
  • Be in good academic standing and be on track to graduate from high school 
  • Eligible for an early release schedule.
