SHPE and Medtronic have partnered together to provide the opportunity for interns to participate in the SHPE Medtronic College Fund Partnership for Summer 2022.

Your project may focus on:

  • Financial analysis, modeling support, audits, analysis of capital expenditures or cost center expenses.
  • Risk based internal audits across businesses around the globe of operational, financial and information technology functions
  • Income and balance sheet statements, profit and loss statement, consolidated statements
  • Get real world experience on a project you own. 
  • Build your confidence and skills at the world leader.
  • Market, industry and category analysis and strategies

These full-time (40 hours/week), paid positions are 11-12 weeks in length. Medtronic will offer housing assistance (for out of state interns), relocation expense reimbursement, and educational and social events throughout the summer. This summer internship opportunity will be in Minneapolis, Minnesota; Northridge, California; Memphis, Tennessee; or Boulder, Colorado. Minimum salary is $20 per hour; Maximum salary is $30 per hour.

Under the direction of a more experienced finance manager, you will prepare plans for your own work, participate in project reviews, implement advances in analytics, and identify opportunities for productivity and quality improvement.

Requirements

Must Have

To be considered for a summer 2022 finance internship, you must meet the following basic requirements. You must clearly indicate on your resume how you meet these criteria to be considered for a position.

  • Undergraduate student with a sophomore or junior level standing
  • Working towards a bachelor’s degree in Finance and/or Accounting
  • A minimum 3.25 out of a 4.0 cumulative GPA
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis and does not require sponsorship in the future for an employment visa
  • Participants must be able to participate full time (40 hours/week) as part of our intern cohort from Monday, June 6 - Friday, August 19

Nice to Have

  • Prior work on projects in a team environment
  • Relevant academic projects and/or internship experience
  • Hyperion Essbase, Microsoft Access, PowerPoint or other systems related interests and experience
