Description
This application is for applicants who have NOT previously received a PFLAG New Orleans scholarship.If you previously received a PFLAG New Orleans scholarship, please submit the application for previous recipients.
Requirements
You must be1. Self identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer...or anywhere within the LGBTQ "family."
2. A resident of the state of Louisiana at the time of application.
3. Seventeen years old, or older, by April 15th of the award year.
4. Applying to attend (or currently attending) an accredited post-secondary educational institution.
Terms
1. Award recipients must be present at the awards ceremony. It is Saturday, May 7, 2022 (the Saturday before Mother's Day) provided that it is safe to have a public reception
2. Awards are paid jointly to the student and the institution and are meant primarily for tuition and fees. Under no circumstances will the award be paid only to the student.

We strongly encourage applicants to request their transcripts by January 15.
