2023 Inter-Pacific Exchange Coach Application

Description
The USPC Inter-Pacific Team will join teams from Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, and New Zealand. The International Teams consist of four members and accompanied by a Team Manager and Coach.The exchange will take place in New Zealand and runs January 8-26, 2023. Please note international travel may require additional days for travel and training before departure.
USPC is seeking an individual capable of being away for more than 2 weeks, with experience in international travel and coaching/team building skills.
Requirements
The Coach must:• Be knowledgeable about Pony Club and a current USPC Corporate Member.
• Be familiar with and supportive of USPC policies.
• Have a strong foundation of coaching experience in Eventing at the level required of the competitors as a minimum.
• Have personal qualities that make you a good mentor/coach/team manager/ambassador of USPC. Please be aware that the actual riding competitions represent only a small portion of the time the team will be traveling. It is essential that you be willing, and have the temperament, to act as a secondary chaperone
• Be able to meet at some point prior to departure in order to begin team building and/or to conduct a training session.
• Not be a parent of a team member.
• Be at least 30 years of age.
If selected, coaches must also successfully complete the USPC Background Check, Safe Sport Training, Heat Illness, and Concussion Training and become a Corporate Member of USPC, if not already one.
