Enhance Educational Excellence Grant

Grants made from the Foundation's endowed funds will, in most cases, be targeted toward projects that help the District provide students with the skills, knowledge, and expertise they need to succeed in today's workplace and in their personal life. This includes mastery of core subjects such as science, reading, history, language arts, and math.

Requirements

When submitting the grant request for the Enhance Educational Excellence grant, the project should:

  • Implement creative and imaginative teaching approaches or techniques
  • Encourage creative or critical thinking among students. Additionally, should promote teamwork and support higher levels of understanding and/or achievement
  • Address underserved or emerging educational areas
  • Utililize a collaborative funding approach when possible
  • Benefit a large population of students in multiple classrooms, buildings, or grade levels
Projects that directly align with our Beyond and Trojan Lodge Endowment criteria are strongly encouraged:

  • Projects that support multiple schools and students within the district
  • Projects related to STEM 
  • Projects including culture, character and communication; including music, arts, language, and humanities programs
**Grant requests will be reviewed by the Linn Mar School Foundation as well as curriculum directors, but are in no way subject to the approval of curriculum directors.**
