Description
In early 2010, a group of volunteers collaborated to create a special way to remember their dear and very special friend and colleague, Dotti Martin. A fund was established and approved by the Girl Scouts of Eastern PA's Board of Directors in March 2010 to recognize the dedication of Dotti Martin; a former girl member, lifetime adult member, adult volunteer, and staff member who passed away in January 2010. The scholarship recognizes a girl who has been an active Girl Scout who exemplifies courage, confidence, and character - just as Dotti did. One girl member will be given $1,000 to continue her education or to attend a GSUSA Destination.Requirements
-Complete and submit the Scholarship Common Application.-Be a currently registered member of Girl Scouts of Eastern PA.
-Be in grade 12 for the Educational Scholarship OR in grades 9-12 for the Destination Fund.
-Document camping experience as well as outdoor badges or Journeys earned.
-Plan to continue education beyond high school (ex. college, trade school, technical school) OR plan to attend a Destination.
-Demonstrate financial need.
