SNOW REMOVAL FUND INFO:

Mammoth Mountain Community Foundation and Alterra Mountain Company Community Foundation have established an emergency fund to assist local residents and businesses with emergency snow removal needs during our recently declared state of emergency.  Our goal is to assist financially and with coordination of contractors/snow removers for instances of immediate need for impending damage or danger due to heavy snow loads.

Funds are limited and will be directed based on hardship, urgency and need.

This fund will only go towards full-time resident occupied homes or full-time businesses.

EXTREME SNOW LOAD ADVISORY:

The Town of Mammoth Lakes has issued an Evacuation Warning for snow damaged properties that pose a potential threat to life and property. Be aware that several structures throughout the Town of Mammoth Lakes have failed. The threat to public safety is high. To report structural damage or to assist in determining whether your property is safe, please call (760) 965-3629 or complete the Mono County/Town of Mammoth Lakes Snow Load Damage Assessment Form that will be assessed.

The Evacuation Warning is in place for those properties that have experienced significant structural damage from excessive snow. If you see broken or fractured structural members, such as roof rafters and beams, or deformed roof or wall surfaces, please evacuate your property immediately and call 9-1-1.

A temporary emergency evacuation shelter has been set up at the Mammoth Middle School (1600 Meridian Blvd.) gymnasium.
