You work hard at school, at home, and in your community. You have demonstrated your desire and ability to overcome barriers and achieve your goals. You have big dreams for your future and an unwavering commitment to learning -- and have never allowed circumstances to define you.The Dream Big Fort Worth: Determined Scholars Award is a college preparation and college financial assistance program created to provide Tarrant County students who have overcome adversity with resources and experiences to continue to excel in college and beyond.
2024 Dream Big Determined Scholars may receive:
- ACT/SAT preparation courses
- Monthly sessions focused on college application preparation, academic and college success, financial literacy, and health and well-being
- Personalized mentorship from senior year of high school through college graduation
- Financial assistance up to $24,000 during college in pursuit of an undergraduate degree
Requirements
• High school junior set to graduate in June 2025 from a Tarrant County public school• Unweighted GPA of 3.5 or greater
• Demonstrated need for financial assistance
• Demonstrated ability to overcome obstacles
