Champions For Kids Grant
Description
The Champions for Kids fund was established to serve students in the District who are unable to participate in District extracirrucular activities, academic endeavors or clubs, and athletics due to financial disadvantages. Educators or administrators of the District are able to recommend a student for this grant as they see fit.Typical awards for this grant are $100 per student, per semester. However, we are able to review larger requests as needed. Please do reach out to the Foundation office at 447-3065 to discuss prior to submission.
The Linn-Mar School Foundation Fund Distribution Committee will review all Champions For Kids grant requests and respond within 2 weeks of submission. If approved, students will not receive the check, it will be forwarded to the sponsor or District Department billing the student.
Requirements
There must be a financial need of the student for submission of this grant. If the student participates in the Districts free and reduced lunch program, this will be sufficient for verification of financial need.The Foundation does reserve the right to communication with the sponsor to obtain more information as necessary.
Student names will be kept confidential.
