Description

The John and Yvonne Hsu Edmisten Scholarship in Memory of Allan Voigt MD was established to support students graduating from San Luis Obispo, Mission College Preparatory Catholic, or Pacific Beach High School. The student must plan to major in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Performing Arts or Mathematics) in pursuit of a baccalaureate degree at a four-year college or university.

Dr. Voigt was a physician who retired to San Luis Obispo after a distinguished career in medicine. He was an avid supporter of the performing arts.

Eligibility:

  • School Level: High School OR Undergraduate
  • Term: 1-Year
  • GPA: Not considered
  • Demonstrated Financial Need: Yes
  • Type of College: 4-Year college/university or Music Conservatory
  • Major: Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, OR Performing Arts 
  • Other Requirements: Must be a graduating senior from Morro Bay, San Luis Obispo, Mission College Prep and Pacific Beach High Schools OR a Cuesta Community College student planning to transfer to a 4-Year University or Music Conservatory
  • Renewable: No
