Description

The Gary Grossman Scholarship was established to provide scholarship support for promising LGBTQIA+ students to achieve their full academic and leadership potential. The scholarship is open to local high school seniors or college students who reside in San Luis Obispo County or the Santa Maria Basin pursuing higher education at the college or university level.

Gary Grossman is a successful developer living in San Luis Obispo County. Earning a bachelor's degree in literature from UCLA and his masters of science degree in urban and regional planning and real estate financing at USC. He has been a steady force in the region building over 2,000 homes and more than a dozen commercial projects over the past two decades.

Requirements

Eligibility:

  • School Level: High School, Undergraduate
  • Term: 1-Year
  • GPA: Minimum 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
  • Demonstrated Financial Need: Yes
  • Type of College: Community college, 4-Year college/university, OR Current California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo, Cuesta College or Hancock College Students
  • Major: Not considered
  • Other Requirements: Must be a graduating senior residing in San Luis Obispo County OR the Santa Maria basin AND identify as LGBTQIA+
  • Renewable: No
