Description
The David B. Gianas Memorial Scholarship provides educational scholarships for students with documented special needs. It benefits students who, because of their unique differences, find achieving their educational goals difficult because of the lack of encouragement and/or financial resources. Through this scholarship, Margaret A. Krause, seeks to create a “helping hand” to the type of students her husband taught and mentored. He lifted the spirits of those who were hurting and needed support, and reminded them that they didn’t have to lose their personality to be loved and respected in the world.

- Type of College: Community College, 4-year college/university, or vocational school
- Major: Not considered
- Other Requirements: Must be a graduating senior from an Atascadero or Paso Robles, comprehensive or continuation high schools, AND must have attended middle at Atascadero Junior High School OR Daniel Lewis Middle School OR George Flamson Middle School, AND must have or have had an Individual Educational Plan (IEP) or 504 plan
- Renewable: Yes
