Description
Keith Hickman was a founding sponsor and supporter of the Foundation when it was not an official non-profit organization, and the longest standing Board member the organization has ever had, with the support of his wife, Becky, by his side.As the owner of Opus 3 Architects he shared his time, talent and treasure in designing a number of schools and was active in gathering a group of community leaders to help meet the needs of the district from playgrounds to school supplies. He would work with PTA's at the time out of a portable to give school supplies to students in need. As a founding partner, Keith was President over multiple years and terms as the Foundation grew. He was instrumental in supporting the hiring of the Foundation's first employee in 2007-2008 after he helped commission an outside consulting company to create a strategic plan for the Foundation.
The Becky and Keith Hickman Honorary Scholarship was created to award a Round Rock ISD Senior who is planning to pursue a career in Architecture, Construction or Engineering.
