Description
The Reverend Dr. Joseph Henry Evans Designated Fund for African American Pastoral Scholarships provides annual scholarship assistance to African-American seminarians, (full and part time) with a passion for justice advocacy and proven leadership abilities.The Evans Scholarship Fund for African American seminary students was established in 2009 by United Black Christians, in covenant with the UCC Local Church Ministries.
Requirements
An applicant will:- be an African American student in second or third year at an Association of Theological Schools accredited seminary;
- be a member of a United Church of Christ congregation;
- be a Member in Discernment of an Association Committee on Ministry;
- be a justice advocate who has proven leadership through service in the church and world.
