2024 PCF Mentor Renewal Application

Description

The mission of the Peninsula College Fund is to assist low-income, first-generation college students to graduate and obtain a job that aligns with their career goals. 

Mentor recruitment happens on a rolling basis from October 2023 through March 2024, however, mentors and scholars are matched in the spring. While a mentor may interview in the winter and be considered "match-eligible" in PCF's mentoring program, matching will not occur until mid May 2024.

Requirements

PCF Mentor Renewal Process:

  1. Apply – Submit the PCF Mentor Renewal Application by the spring deadline, March 29, 2024 to be considered for the 2024 cohort. The renewal application is used to update PCF staff with any new information, for matching purposes, and to reflect on your past mentorship.
  2. Interview – Upon submission of application, we will be in touch to schedule a 20-30 minute virtual interview to introduce ourselves, review reflection questions and answer any questions.
  3. Background check renewal – PCF staff will contact you via email to complete a new background check.
  4. Orientation – All selected mentors must attend New Mentor/Scholar Orientation on June 8, 2024.
  5. Awards Ceremony – All selected mentors must attend Scholars Award Ceremony on  June 29, 2024.
