Description
A generous donor established this fund in 2011 to provide assistance to members of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Southwest Washington. This scholarship focuses on students who have a strong work ethic and desire to improve themselves.Award Information
This scholarship is renewable. Renewal applicants must submit an application each year. Preference will be given to renewal applicants that are working at least 10 hours per week.
Requirements
Scholarship recipients must:- Be a current member of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Southwest Washington. In addition to current members of the B&G Clubs of SWWA, low-income high school volunteers and students that are connected to the Boys and Girls Clubs in nontraditional ways are also eligible to apply
- Have graduated (or be on track to) from high school or receive their GED
- Have at least a cumulative high school GPA of 2.0
- Be enrolled or planning to enroll full-time at an accredited public or private post-secondary educational institution (including two-year community colleges, four-year colleges and universities, and vocational, trade, technical or career schools) located in the United States.
