Description
Gerald Bergquist was a long time resident of Cowlitz County. He graduated from Kelso High School in 1947 and worked for many years as an installer for Bell Telephone. He was involved in many local sports teams as a player, coach and referee. He established two scholarships for local students--one for musicians and one for athletes.Award Amount
1 award is awarded each year. The award amount is likely to fall between $3,000.
This scholarship is not renewable.
Requirements
The student selected to receive this scholarship must:- be a graduating senior from Kelso High School
- have a GPA of at least 3.5
- have participated in Kelso High School football
- continue their education at an accredited college, university, technical or career school during the upcoming academic year
