Award Amount
Several scholarships in the range between $2,000 - $5,000 may be awarded at the scholarship committee's discretion. Renewal applicants will have special consideration or priority, if they show good standing at their institution and continuing financial need.

Award Information
This scholarship can be renewed. Preference will be given to previous recipients. Renewal applicants must reapply each year to be considered.

Requirements

Requirements:
  • Be a past or present member of the Boys and Girls Club of Southwest Washington (Clark County), and/or
  • Foster children who have participated in Clark County Family YWCA's Independent Living Skills program
  • Plan to continue their education at accredited public or private nonprofit colleges, universities, or vocational/trade schools in the United States
  • Demonstrate Financial Need
Considerations: Preference will be given to students pursuing a career in the trades through a vocational training or accredited apprenticeship program including electricians, millwrights, iron workers, pipe fitters, steel and pipe welders, concrete carpenters, and equipment operators.
