Description
The Ronald Phillips Memorial Science Scholarship was established in 2018 by the family of Ronald Phillips. Ron taught biology at Washougal High School from 1958 - 1988. This fund provides assistance to a student who plans to major in one of the Life, Earth or Physical sciences.Award Information
1 award of $2,500 is awarded each year. Renewal applicants have special consideration or priority, if they show adequate progress toward a degree, good standing at their institution, and continuing financial need.
Requirements
The student selected to receive the scholarship award must:- Be a graduating senior of Washougal High School.
- Plan to pursue a degree in Life, Earth or Physical Sciences such as Biology, Zoology, Botany, Geology, Chemistry, etc.
- Plan to register or be currently registered at an accredited college, university, technical or career school. A minimum of part-time status is required.
