Description
Stan and Darlene Sorenson established this scholarship in 2018 with the purpose to provide scholarships to Ilwaco High School students who show academic or vocational potential and due to their economic circumstances are not able to pay their total college costs from personal or family resources.Award Information
Two awards of $2,500 each are awarded each year. Renewal applicants will have special consideration or priority, if they show adequate progress toward a degree, good standing at their institution, and continuing financial need.
Requirements
The student selected to receive the scholarship award must:- Be a graduating senior of Iwaco High School - Ilwaco, Washington.
- Have a GPA of 2.0 or above.
- Plan to register or be currently registered at an accredited college, university, technical or career school with a minimum of part-time status.
- Pursue a degree in Nursing or a technical, career degree or certificate.
