2024 Denis Gold Hathaway Scholarship

Description
The Denis Gold Hathaway Scholarship was established in November 2023 by Denis' wife, Cindy Iverson. Denis grew up in Stevenson, WA and graduated from Stevenson High School. After graduation he went to work as a logger and later moved to Vancouver. Mr. Hathaway worked for Waste Connections for sixteen years. It is important to Cindy in the memory of Denis to support Stevenson High School students pursuing vocational/trades training to gain skills for the workforce.
Initially in 2024, two scholarships in the amount of $2,000 will be awarded.
Requirements
Scholarship recipients must:- be a graduating senior of Stevenson High School
- plan to register or be currently registered at a trade school, apprenticeship program, or community college
- plan to gain the skills and education in a vocational or trades training program
- plan to gain the skills and education in a vocational or trades training program
- pursuing trades in welding, manufacturing, construction, plumbing, electrician, lineman, CDL, other similar types of pursuits
- with financial need
