Description
Areas of Interest - Programs that the YGC will look favorably on include:
1) Community Service - to support programs related to community development, citizen involvement, recreation, and general community programs and projects.
2) Social Service - to support human service organizations, programs for children, youth, family, and senior citizens.
3) Education - to support programs, projects, and scholarship in pre-school, secondary, post-secondary, and special education areas.
4) Health - to support programs that promote healthy environments for the youth of Scott County.
5) Arts - to support the growth and development of youth appreciation for the arts and culture.
6) Leadership - to support the growth of youth leadership abilities.
However, consideration of grant requests will not be limited to these areas. The YGC encourages creative projects.
Please remember the due date of Thursday, February 29, 2024 at noon.
Requirements
* Your project must, in some way, benefit the youth of Scott County.* Applicants may be called to appear for an interview with the YGC prior to acceptance of their grant application.
* Applicants awarded grants may be required to appear for evaluation after the project has been completed. A final report will be required after completion of the project. Organizations that fail to submit the required paperwork within two weeks of the due date will forfeit the privilege to request more funding for two years, and the organization may be held liable for the amount received.
* Your project must have at least one adult coordinator.
* The maximum amount of money available per request is $1,000.
* Each organization (school club, nonprofit, etc.) may make only one grant request per year.
* Grants will only be made to nonprofit organizations and causes.
