BSSW Program

Description

FALL 2024 BSSW PROGRAM APPLICATION

All social work students begin as "pre-social" majors and are required to apply to be officially admitted to the BSSW Program, Bachelor of Science in Social Work.

DEADLINE TO APPLY

Priority Deadline - Sunday, March 10th at 11:59 MST

  • Applying by the priority deadline ensures your major code will be updated in time for your Fall 2024 registration appointment. You will not be able to register for upper-division social work classes until your application has been processed, which takes 7-10 business days.
  • Find your Fall 2024 registration date and time stamp by going to the Student Hub, then "Register for Classes", and then clicking "Check Registration Eligibility".

Final Deadline - Sunday, April 21st at 11:59 MST

The application has two parts:

  1. Application form - As part of the application form you will review very important departmental information and policies. Please take time to read these carefully. Failure to understand the curriculum, requirements, and policies of the BSSW Program could result in a delay in your graduation.
  2. Personal statements - There are four personal statements you'll need to respond to. Each answer should be 200-250 words maximum. The purpose of personal statements is to assess your dedication and understanding of the social work profession, ethics, and values, and that you can communicate clearly and effectively in writing.

If you need help with any part of the application please contact us.
