PROGRAM DEADLINE: July 31, 2024 at 12:30 AM PDT
Description
The 2024 Spokane Arts Awards will be at TBD on Saturday, September 21, 2024. The Arts Awards event is a celebration of all the amazing work being done in our area across every arts discipline. One of the ways we celebrate that work is through recognizing individuals and organizations with the Arts Awards Nominations for the Arts Awards are open now!
Arts Awards recognize the accomplishments of artists, arts and cultural organizations and local individuals committed to enriching our community through the arts.
In the past there have been four awards categories reflect the values of Spokane Arts: Leadership, Collaboration, Imagination and Inclusion. This year we have added Youth Arts Leadership, and Arts Advocacy Award.
In any of these categories, you may nominate an artist, volunteer, neighborhood, educator, organization, community leader, donor, business or any other entity which you feel deserves recognition. Emerging or established, young or old, on the edge or in the center – we welcome any nomination that celebrates the wealth of participation in Spokane's arts ecosystem.
Requirements
There are six award categories:
Leadership – positive and consistent advocacy, a role model for others in the arts, a venture culturalist, excellent stewardship of resources
Collaboration – creating and supporting partnerships, sharing resources, finding shared solutions, brings new meaning to the phrase "democratic participation"
Inclusion – enacting just and diverse community, building bridges across divides, proactive approach to accessibility and inclusion
Imagination – an energizing and inspiring presence, jaw-dropping creativity, sky's-the-limit approach, excellent execution of innovative ideas
Youth Arts Leadership - celebrates young individuals who demonstrate exceptional creativity, leadership, and community impact through their artistic endeavors. Nominees exhibit talent, innovation, and leadership qualities, inspiring others and advocating for positive change in their artistic community. This award recognizes their dedication to artistic excellence and their role as future leaders in the arts.
Arts Advocacy- honors an outstanding organization that has championed the arts through dedicated advocacy and support. This prestigious accolade recognizes their instrumental role in advancing the arts by advocating for artistic expression, fostering cultural enrichment, and promoting equitable access to the arts within our community.
You do not need to nominate for each category, but please fill in all applicable fields for the category or categories in which you submit a nominee. We reserve the right to award your nominee in a different category, but please do NOT nominate one nominee for multiple categories.
